Rivers of Steel and DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh, invite you to get re-acquainted with Homestead–a colorful and eclectic neighborhood–by exploring a diverse collection of buildings.

This self-guided neighborhood event will immerse you in the exciting transformation happening in Homestead. Get to know old buildings–imagined as new spaces as well as businesses–long-established and startups.

Rivers of Steel will be hosting folk art vendors and a pop-up exhibit by Roadkill Gallery in the community plaza at 309 Eighth Avenue.  We welcome you to stop by 1008 Amity Street for performances by local jazz artists and to keep an eye out for our graffiti artists collaborators throughout the neighborhood as they create interactive artworks. Don’t forget to stop by the Bost Building at 623 Eighth Avenue as well!
