Live Music & Performances
August 12, 2022
Rivers of Steel and the Steel Valley Enterprise Zone welcome folks to join us for the Homestead Live Fridays performance series!
Located in multiple venues throughout Homestead’s Eighth Avenue business district—and at street-side pop-ups along the way, Live Fridays features local performers, art exhibitions, and activities each evening from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Grab a drink or a bite to eat and check out some of the region’s best local live music!
This month we’ll be celebrating street art! Join us for a block party on Seventh Avenue (300th block) with live graffiti painting and skateboarding—ramps and sessions are by Switch & Signal. Take it all it while exploring the variety of brews from Golden Age Beer Company with Boilermaker Jazz Band adding to the soundscape! Or stop in at The Forge Urban Wine Bar for live music by singer-songwriter Jessica Bella. Before you head out, make sure to stop by the Amity Harvest Community Garden to gather with the neighbors, have a s’more, see what’s blooming, and hear performances by Teiara Hugues from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., followed by Danny DuBois from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Col. Eagleburger’s Highstepping Goodtime Band will be entering folks throughout Homestead as their processional party makes it way up and down Eighth Avenue, and our friends over at Eberle Studios will be screening Shirley Clark’s The Cool World with a soundtrack by Dizzy Gillespie!
It’s going to be a fun evening—you won’t want to miss this one!
