Rivers of Steel and the Steel Valley Accelerator are excited to announce the return of the Homestead Live Fridays performance series!

Located in multiple venues throughout Homestead’s Eighth Avenue business district—and at street-side pop-ups along the way, Live Fridays features local performers, art exhibitions, and activities each evening from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Grab a drink or bite to eat and check out some of the region’s best local live music!

Join us the final Friday of each month through October!

Hours & Admission*

Events are roughly from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Check each venue’s schedule for exact details. All venues are free and open to the public, except the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall, which requires tickets to be purchased in advance.

Featured Events

Amity Harvest Community Garden will host Danny DuBois & Dave Foley.  EON Bar & Grill offers up music by Tee Jay, along with drink, food, and hookah specials. The Forge Wine Bar welcomes back Jess Sides.  ACORN ANEW will be hosting a community barbeque at 309 E 8th Ave with live music from the Difficult Times Jazz Band.
Voodoo Homestead welcomes Rankin’s 13, a bluegrass rock band from Columbus, along with an opening act that is tbd.
KSD & The Radio Room are hosting a Makers’ Market, complete with local artists, crafters, jewelry makers, candle makers, print makers, illustrators, metal workers, face painting, vintage clothes, hand knit items, and more!

And at Eberle Studios, Pittsburgh Sound + Image continues their Essential Pittsburgh series, which explores our region’s film history by spotlighting local artists and their films created in the 1960s through the 1990s. July ‘s event will screen two features by Sheila Chamovitz, a local Jewish documentarian.

Stop by to welcome our newest addition, the Glitterbox Theater (at 210 W 8th Avenue), as they keep the vibes fun and funky, offering up live paintings, circus-themed activities, and music.

Visitors may park in the parking lot at the rear of the Bost Building, located at 623 East Eighth Avenue. The entrance is accessed from Heisel Street.
