Derek’s background is in fabrication and machining. His experience prior to Rivers of Steel has centered custom ornamental ironwork, job-shop machining, and small-to-mid scale production management. He is nearing completion of a 4-year apprenticeship through the National Tooling and Machining Association, for which he is also an instructor.
