Jaimie Hanson, a Pittsburgh native with family ties to the Heritage Area, has served as the Manager of Tourism since 2022. Jaimie’s passion for the tourism industry spans decades . She is thrilled to bring her portfolio of experiences from past roles within hotels, sales, events, and travel design to the Rivers of Steel team.
Jaimie supervises the Explorer riverboat sightseeing tours and charters program. Additionally, she manages the sales and operational logistics for the Rivers of Steel Heritage Tours program, in which Rivers of Steel operates as a receptive tour provider. This allows Jaimie to not only share the heritage and stories of Pittsburgh through Rivers of Steel’s locations, but also while escorting groups throughout all of southwestern Pennsylvania.
