Amity Harvest Garden will host a solo acoustic set by Ian Kunak of No X In Nixon. Stop by the Forge Wine Bar for sets by singer-songwriter Jess Sides.
The David Throckmorton quartet will perform in the beer garden at Golden Age.
Stop by the Community Plaza on Eighth Avenue for performances by the Difficult Times Jazz Band presented by ACORN ANEW, who will also be hosting their community barbecue.
Eberle Studios will be hosting an improv sculpture workshop and open studio on their first floor from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The first event in an ongoing series, the workshop will feature hand-built exquisite corpse sculptures. Dynamic and socially engaging, this experience invites participants to collaborate by taking turns working on each other’s sculptures—just like exquisite corpse drawings but with clay sculpture!
Also at Eberle Studios, Pittsburgh Sound + Image continues their Essential Pittsburgh Filmmaker series; this month’s features Alycia Crawley and Evan Knauer, multimedia punk filmmakers.
There’s also many places to stop for food, drinks, and fun, including Capri Pizza, Dorothy Six, Duke’s Upper Deck Cafe, Golden Age Beer Co. Live Fresh Juice + Smoothie Bar, Retro on 8th, and Voodoo Brewery!
Join us for an evening of fun in Homestead!
