The Art of Labor

On view June 27, 2025 to October 24,  2025

The Art of Labor explores how industrial workers are portrayed in different mediums from the beginning of the industrial revolution to today. The exhibit highlights coal miners, railroaders, and iron and steel workers as subjects of observation and fascination – especially when those subjects are depicted working. The Art of Labor features items from Joe and Delsa White’s extensive collection and pays special attention to what compels the couple to devote a lifetime to collecting the history of labor in art.
