Join Rivers of Steel for this special one-night-only experience at the Carrie Blast Furnaces that weaves stories both historical and mystical to present the perils of working in one of America’s most dangerous businesses. With respect to the souls who departed this revered site while on the job—and to those souls who may remain onsite—we’ll share their stories, along with paranormal investigators’ accounts of what they have personally experienced at this National Historic Landmark.

Please note: Some descriptions of the historical accounts are quite graphic. Tours are for adults only (18+). Bring a flashlight. Space is limited to 40 guests, split into two groups. Don’t wait on this one—tickets will sell out quickly!

What to Know Before You Go

As a former industrial site, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure an enjoyable visit.

What to Bring: Bring a flashlight!
What to wear: Dress for the weather. Carrie: After Dark takes place outside. Additionally, the ground is uneven—sensible shoes are a must. Open-toed shoes and high heels are prohibited.
Restrooms & concessions: The rawness of the site is certainly part of its charm. However, that rawness also limits the creature comforts many of us are accustomed to, like running water. Portable bathrooms, hand washing stations and hand sanitizer are available. Food amenities will not be available at this event.
Photography: Photography is permitted. For safety reasons, videography and drones are prohibited.
Accessibility: Handicapped parking is available. However, the grounds to the space may not be accessible for all wheelchairs. Contact us for details and options.

Liability: By purchasing admission tickets, all visitors consent to the terms of our liability waiver and consent to be photographed (PDF).
